Scott - well said!

I think the crux of the matter in this is whether people in private or public are willing to have their thoughts, actions, theologies etc challenged and thought about. Surely the point of Christianity is to allow us to see god and for some that requires thinking and being shaped by people and events around us - a shaping of our understanding and theology.

I for one am happy when people comment on what I do, good comments and otherwise - mainly and primarily because if someone has taken the time to comment then they have listened and taken the time to be shaken or thoughtful. That is a good thing.

Not everyone 'gets' the same worship songs or thoughts given by a preacher . That too is ok. Surely we can be secure enough in our faith to realise that not everyone is the same and expresses their faith in the same manner.

For me there is often too much 'me' worship and songs that are almost 'Jesus, my boyfriend' songs that have no bearing on public worship other than making people feel better (well those who are into that sort of thing). We have a wonderful tradition of song and praise and well thought out hymns and songs rather than the present system of worship leader firing out hundreds in the hope that one is half decent.

Scott, I sorry people took your comments badly, I for one appreciated them - it gave me a good insight into the event from your perspective. I am sorry that people have taken offence, I assume because they felt you didn't have the right to comment and they felt challenged. I think I can recall a few, just a few, stories of Jesus who challenged what went on to show people the way to God!

Let's not be scared of social media. Let's not be scared of people commenting on what we do. Let's move to public worship when we are gathered together rather than corporate 'me' worship.

Keep commenting Scott. At least in our church, any many others, comments, questions, doubts and differences are welcomed and embraced ... along with social media of course!

Neat run-through. Intrigued by RTM, as I am in need of a good task manager. Playing around with Awesome Note Lite, though might take a look at RTM too.
